Come See, Go Tell!

Rock of Calvary Christian Church is a place committed to carry out the Great Commission by healing hurts and meeting needs. We are all about introducing people to Jesus Christ and loving and respecting one another as Jesus Christ loves us. To address poverty by assisting the poor, address disease by caring for the sick and address brokenness by transforming through reconciliation.

We are a moderate sized church with a variety of ages, races, colors, national origins and Christian backgrounds, united by our commitment to follow Jesus Christ and serve him at home and around the world. We believe that our people are the church and that our responsibility is to live for Jesus Christ in all that we do.

Military Friendly

If you are in military service right now, thank you for serving. We are grateful to the men and women who make great sacrifices to protect the freedoms we enjoy in America. We are always honored when you are present with us at Rock of Calvary Christian Church and always in prayer for you when you are away. You will find many active duty, reserve, and retired military attending and involved in the ministries at The Rock. We have a place for you.

Rock of Calvary Christian Church people understand that "every member is a minister, and every minister has a ministry."

ABOUT ROC

ABOUT ROC

The hour is at hand to know Thy God...

ROCK OF CALVARY CHRISTIAN CHURCH is a New Testament church committed to carry out the Great Commission by healing hurts and meeting needs. We are all about introducing people to Jesus Christ and loving and respecting one another as Jesus Christ loves us. To address poverty by assisting the poor, address disease by caring for the sick and address brokenness by transforming through reconciliation.

Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV)

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.We are a moderate sized church with a variety of ages, races, colors, national origins and Christian backgrounds, united by our commitment to follow Jesus Christ and serve him at home and around the world. We believe that our people are the church and that our responsibility is to live for Jesus Christ in all that we do.

Our Mission At Rock Of Calvary Christian Church Is Simple. We Want To Help People Find And Follow Jesus.

We believe that the God of the Bible, the only God, has revealed himself as Creator, The God head, Judge, Redeemer, and Father. God is infinite in power and wisdom, perfect in holiness, overflowing with love and grace. God is passionate about reconciling people to Himself, and He has an eternal plan to restore the universe that cannot be stopped by anyone or anything.

We believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the divine Son of God, the Lord of the universe, and the only way to God. By His death and resurrection, Jesus delivers us from sin and death, He remains alive today as the leader of his Church, and He will one day return to judge the living and the dead. Jesus' model of intimacy with the Father, obedience to His will, and sacrificial love for people provides the pattern for His followers to imitate.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God's personal presence in the world, the church, and individual believer. The Spirit seals followers of Jesus as part of the new creation, convicts the world of sin and unbelief, and empowers believers to experience, know, become like, and testify to Jesus. The Spirit empowers the church to wage war against the forces of evil.

We believe that the Bible tells the story of God's efforts to bring salvation to the whole world. As the inspired and authoritative written word of God, the Bible accurately reveals God's nature, His character, and His pursuit of us, as well as our path to experiencing God, knowing Him, and becoming the people God created us to be.

We believe that the Church is a community of Jesus' disciples, called out from the world and blessed by God to be a blessing to others. As the body of Christ, the Church is where all different types of people come together in the name of Jesus. The Church lives together in community to love God, to love one another, and to continue Jesus' mission in the world.

We believe that all people are created in the image of God in order to enjoy and reflect His power and love and goodness, but we are unable to do so because we have been corrupted by sin. We are all lost without God and we need Jesus to reconcile us to God and the Holy Spirit to transform us from the inside out.

BIBLICAL
Learning God's Word AND putting it into practice is what following Jesus is all about. (Matthew 7:24-29, 1 Corinthians 8:1-3)

MISSION
We feel the best way to change the world is to change our neighborhoods...one cul-de-sac at a time. We believe our church should make a positive impact in the neighborhood it is in...and our Life Groups should make a positive impact in the neighborhoods they are in. Church operates best in the context of local community. (Acts 2, 4)

REAL
We want to remove the obstacles that keep people far from God and help bring people back to Him. We believe church should meet people where they are in life and use contemporary language and popular culture as a means to share the timeless truth of God's Word. (Matthew 9:9-13, Acts 17:19-23, 1 Corinthians 9:19-23)

GENEROUS
We want to be known as a people who are generous - giving of our money, our talents, our time, whatever God would ask of us. (2 Corinthians 9:11)

MULTIPLYING
We want everyone to come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ, so we set out to multiply our own faith in others by being relational, transparent, and knowledgeable of the Bible and being the example of Christ to others.

Come See, Go Tell!

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.” Malachi 3:10

Why Give Online?

PRIORITIZE GIVING IN YOUR BUDGET. The Bible indicates giving is to be a “first” and not a last or left-over matter in my life. Read Proverbs 3:9-10. It is easy to let our standards and intentions be compromised by the press of expenses and billing cycles. Online, your giving is done automatically.

INCREASE YOUR FAITHFULNESS. Have you ever forgotten your gift, left it at home, or pledged to double it in the future? Have you had times where you have fallen behind because of travel and other schedule interruptions? Online giving provides a way to strengthen your faithfulness.

HELP YOUR CHURCH. Through online giving, you expedite your gift, simplify our accounting, and strengthen our base of regular support.ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO BECOME MORE FAITHFUL. As you plan and prioritize your giving, you will lead the way for others to grow and mature in their spiritual stewardship. Being a forerunner in this new area of planned giving, you can provide personal testimony and example for others to follow.
